Mentor

Supporting those who are at different stages of life and career is a sacred role and a privilege. Listening from the gut. Ears tuned to the legacy frequency. This is a role I treasure.

In the Māori world we value tuakana teina, older sibling and younger sibling relationships, as a vital source of support and learning throughout life. Reciprocity and championing each other is key. Discovering and delighting in each others strengths and styles of learning. This is an approach I draw from.

I also take great inspiration from the Te Whare Kaupo, wāhine whare wānanga of the north in former times, centres of learning and support for our women of all ages. Being part of intergenerational groups of women is crucial for us to share, discuss and plan, to build and create. To celebrate each other.
